What a Christmas show programme includes

Christmas is not one theme, it is four separate jobs: switching on the lights, the Christmas market, Santa's visit and the Three Kings' cavalcade. Each asks for a different set-up and we build them all.

The Christmas cast is made up of elves, nutcrackers, dancers with wings of light, glowing stilt walkers, Santa Claus and Their Majesties the Three Kings in character, with an attendant page. The parades go out with an arch of lights, glowing juggling and percussion.

To close, the Christmas fire show: torches and fans lit in front of the tree or the church tower, which is the photograph the council then uses all year. Real fire, with trained performers and our own materials.

Lights, Christmas market, Santa and the Three Kings' cavalcade

The switching on of the lights calls for a short, highly visual set: a lit parade, a countdown and fire. The Christmas market calls for entertainment spread across the weekend, with sets every few hours. Santa's visit and the Three Kings' are staged with a reception, a throne and photographs with the children, indoors or in the square. And the cavalcade is something else entirely: a long route, characters down the length of the float and sweets to hand out.

A council usually books two or three of these events in the same campaign, and the quote then works out better than asking for them separately. The campaign is short and very intense, so December and the fifth of January are booked up months ahead.

We need no stage. A closed room nearby for costume changes, a water point and a clear area for the fire is enough, and we fit ourselves to the route and the running order you already have programmed.

Where we have staged Christmas

In Lucillos, Toledo, with a Christmas parade, elves, an arch of lights and fire. In towns across the Madrid region with the lights and the cavalcade, such as Titulcia, Algete, El Escorial and Rivas Vaciamadrid. And at Christmas fairs and markets in Castilla-La Mancha and Castilla y León.

We work with the culture or festivals department directly, or with the promoter running the market. We travel from Madrid and the journey is inside the quote, with no per-kilometre price and no bank holiday surcharge — which at Christmas is nearly every day.

When to book and what is included

At Christmas and Epiphany the diary fills earlier than at any other time of year: if you have the date, the sooner we talk the better. We still cover dates at short notice, because not the whole cast is booked at once.

The quote is fixed and comes as a PDF, with several options depending on the number of performers, and it covers everything but VAT: costume and make-up, props, lights, our own sound, fire materials, insurance, social security registration, travel, accommodation and per diems. The company carries public liability insurance and accident insurance.

Tell us which events you want covered — the lights, the market, Santa, the cavalcade — and we will tell you how many performers each one takes and how the whole campaign works out.

In the Three Kings parade we come in as the entertainment group of the royal procession: stilt walkers, jugglers, acrobats and pages opening and closing the route, coordinated with the parade marshal the council appoints. If what you need is the entertainment for the parade and not the floats, that is exactly what we do.
